What the On-Page SEO Checker checks
Check a page’s title, meta description, search snippet and H1–H6 outline. Add a target query to grade how well the title, H1, URL and body cover it.
- The title tag and meta description
- How the snippet clips in search results
- The H1 to H6 heading outline
- How well the title, H1, URL and body cover a target query
What it does not do
- Live rankings or search volume
- Content written for you
- Tags injected by JavaScript after load
Questions about the On-Page SEO Checker
- How long should a title tag be?
- Google has no fixed character limit; it cuts titles to fit the result's width, which on desktop is roughly 50 to 60 characters. Put the words people search for first so they survive the cut. The checker shows where your snippet clips.
- Does the meta description affect rankings?
- No. Google says the meta description is not a ranking factor, and it often writes its own snippet from the page. A clear description still helps when Google shows it, because it can earn the click.
- Should a page have only one H1?
- Google handles more than one H1, but a single H1 that states the topic, followed by H2 and H3 sections in order, gives people and machines the clearest outline.
- How much does the On-Page SEO Checker cost?
- 8 credits per run, shown before the run starts. An AI agent can run the same tool over the REST API or MCP with a workspace API key.
