What the Backlink Finder checks
List the strongest sites that link to a website, with how strong each is and whether it looks spammy, and the link texts they use.
- The 100 strongest sites that link to the whole domain, each with its link rank from 0 to 1,000 and the day its first link was seen
- How many links each site has and the share of its linking pages that are followed rather than marked nofollow
- A spam score for each linking site, with the ones at 40 or more out of 100 marked likely spam
- The 50 link texts used by the strongest sites, grouped as brand name, web address, generic words, no text or other words
- The total number of sites that link in, as the provider counts them
What it does not do
- Every link; the lookup lists the 100 strongest linking sites and 50 link texts
- Links to one page or folder; the lookup covers the whole domain
- Contact details for the sites that link in
- Which links Google counts; the spam score and rank are the provider's estimates
Questions about the Backlink Finder
- Can I see who links to a competitor?
- Yes. Enter any public domain, yours or a competitor's. The lookup covers the whole site rather than one page, so a page address is reduced to its domain.
- Does it list every backlink?
- No. It lists the 100 strongest sites that link in and the 50 link texts used by the strongest sites, next to the total number of sites linking in. For a large site that is a small share of all its links, so it shows who matters most rather than everyone.
- What is the spam score?
- A score from 0 to 100 that the data provider gives each linking site for how much it looks like a low-quality site. Sites at 40 or more are marked likely spam and shown without a link. It is an estimate, so check a site before you rule it out.
- What do the kinds of link text mean?
- Brand name means the text contains the site's name, web address means the text is a URL, generic words covers texts such as click here or read more, no text is an image or empty link, and other words is everything else.
- What happens if the site has no links?
- A run that finds no linking sites and no link texts is refunded. If only one of the two lists is empty, the report shows the other.
- How much does the Backlink Finder cost?
- 70 credits per run, shown before the run starts. An AI agent can run the same tool over the REST API or MCP with a workspace API key.
