What the Keyword Research checks
Find the Google searches related to a keyword, with monthly searches, difficulty, cost per click and trend, sorted into easy wins, blog topics and keywords worth bidding on.
- Up to 99 searches related to your keyword, taken from the phrase and from the searches related to those
- Estimated monthly searches, keyword difficulty from 0 to 100 and search intent for each keyword
- Cost per click and the top-of-page bid range advertisers pay in Google Ads
- How searches changed over the last year, to find topics that are growing
- Keywords sorted into easy wins, blog topics and keywords worth bidding on, for the country you choose
What it does not do
- Keywords for a competitor's site; use Competitor Keywords for that
- Keywords ranked outside the country you choose
- Exact search counts; volumes and difficulty are estimates
- Rank tracking for your own site
- A content brief for each keyword
Questions about the Keyword Research
- Where do the search numbers come from?
- From a keyword data provider that estimates how often each phrase is searched in Google each month, by country. The figures are estimates, so use them to compare keywords with each other rather than as exact counts.
- What does keyword difficulty mean?
- It is a score from 0 to 100 for how hard it is to reach the first page of Google. The tool marks keywords at 30 or less as easy to rank for, and treats learning searches at 50 or less as blog topics.
- How do I choose what to write about?
- Start with the Easiest to win and Blog topics lists, pick the searches that match what you sell, and write one page for each. Keywords in the bidding list suit Google Ads, or a page that compares options.
- How is this different from Keyword Ideas?
- Keyword Ideas lists the live suggestions Google shows as you type. Keyword Research lists related searches with their monthly searches, difficulty, cost per click and trend, so you can rank them against each other.
- What happens if no related searches are found?
- A lookup that finds the keyword but no related searches is still charged, because the data provider charges for it, and the report says so. A lookup for which the provider has no record of the keyword is refunded. Try a broader phrase.
- How much does the Keyword Research cost?
- 34 credits per run, shown before the run starts. An AI agent can run the same tool over the REST API or MCP with a workspace API key.
