AI visibility checker: see if ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini name you

One customer question, three assistants with web search on, and a clear record of who was named, who was cited and who took your place.

An AI visibility checker tells you whether AI assistants mention your brand when a buyer asks them for a recommendation. The AI Answer Visibility tool on seogeoaeo.ai does this for one question at a time: it puts your customer's question to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini with web search turned on and reports, answer by answer, whether you were named, whether your site was cited, and who got recommended instead.

What a check returns

You give the tool three things: your site's address, the question a customer would type into an assistant (up to 300 characters), and your brand name. The brand name is optional. If you leave it out, the tool reads it from your home page.

For each of the three assistants, the result covers:

Signal What it tells you
Named or not Whether the answer mentions your brand at all
Position Where you sit in the list of brands the answer names
Cited or not Whether the answer links to any page on your site as a source
Named instead The brands and sites the answer recommends in your place

The last row is often the most useful one. If you are missing, the names that appear instead are the companies the assistant currently treats as the answer to your buyer's question. Their sites, and the pages citing them, show you what the engines are reading.

How to pick the question

The check is only as good as the question you feed it. Use the words a buyer would use, not your product category as you describe it internally. "What is the best invoicing app for freelancers in Germany?" will tell you more than "invoicing software".

Run a few questions, one per run, that match different stages: a broad "best tool for X", a question about a specific use case, and one that names a well-known rival. Your position can differ a lot between them.

Reading the result honestly

AI answers are not fixed. The same question can produce a different list a minute later, so a single run is a sample. Treat one run as a snapshot, and repeat the same question after you change something before deciding it worked.

A mention without a citation means the assistant knows your name but is not pointing readers to your pages. A citation without a high position usually means one of your pages is useful as a source, but other brands are framed as the stronger pick.

What the tool does not cover

The tool samples answers on demand. It does not track a question over days or weeks, and it does not include Google AI Overviews or AI Mode. It also does not judge what the answers say about you. For that, seogeoaeo.ai has a separate Brand Narrative Check that asks the engines to describe your brand and compares their answers with your home page.

If you need a trend line across many prompts over time, or Google's AI results in the same report, a tracking product such as Ahrefs Brand Radar or the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit fits that job better.

Cost and access

Each run costs 120 credits, and the price is shown before the run starts. A run that fails before it produces a result returns its credits. You can run the check in the browser, or let an AI agent call the same tool over MCP or the REST API with a workspace API key. See the pricing page for plans.
