Questions about the FAQ Schema Builder
- Does Google still show FAQ rich results?
- Since August 2023, Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health sites. The markup is still valid schema.org and describes the page's questions to other systems.
- Do the questions need to be visible on the page?
- Yes. Google's guidelines require every question and answer in FAQPage markup to appear on the page.
- Where do I put the JSON-LD?
- Inside a script tag with type="application/ld+json" on the page that shows the questions. Then check the live page with the Schema Markup Checker.
- How much does the FAQ Schema Builder cost?
- 3 credits per run, shown before the run starts. An AI agent can run the same tool over the REST API or MCP with a workspace API key.
